Broken down in Iowa

But playing at the park while Robb makes parts.

The slide is huge but we all went down. Now the kids made a friend so I'm sitting at a bench like a grown up.

Back on the road

After a very much needed break we are back on the road. Over half way to south bend!!

We found a perfect family park last night. We swam, played in the pool, kids played at the playground, had a lovely chili dinner, played a new board game (thanks aunt Bretta, it is a really good one!!!) and finally slept. (well most of us anyway)

This morning there was more playground, pancakes and sausage, SHOWERS, mini golf, yoga, vacuuming, tank cleaning (yea for clean water!!) and we are like new people this leg of the trip!

The kids loved the pigeon coop!!

Forts

The kids are on a serious fort kick. They had to take down their third creation downstairs so lex and Robb could patch the holes in the ceiling (gas stoves don't just grow on their own.)
So they moved into their bedroom.
Hopefully I will get some better pictures tomorrow because it really is very cool!!!

Wild times

This is a very blurry pic of a fawn nursing its mom.

We also saw our first bear up here: a small black bear crossing the road.

And on the same drive a mommy turkey with 4 or 5 baby turkeys!

So very cool!!

Building

The coolest fort ever! They are planning to sleep in it tonight.

Company

On the beach leech!

Theory came out with us tonight.
And what an exciting night to do so;
A picnic, cannon balls, rescuing some stranded boaters and towing their boat to the doc!
Good times.

Perks

Of having to accompany mommy to the dentist: lunch out!
