JIllian Turns Four

Well it's happened.

I didn't think it would.

I have officially become one of those parents who laments, "It goes so fast!"

But seriously, wasn't it just yesterday that Jillian was born?

Jillian chose princess cupcakes and they were a smashing success, she enjoyed being the center of our little family's attention for the day.

Turning four was big for her. She has put some real meaning into 'being' four.
She often refers to events that happened, oh say a few months ago, as things she did 'when she was little.'

Well fine, I can't stop them from growing up but they'll always be my babies, and I remind them of this every day :)

Bobby's 7th Birthday

Going back a little, since I missed a few months here and there (and I don't have any good new pictures :)

Daddy took Bobby and his two best buddies to Silverwood Theme Park to celebrate Bobby's 7th birthday back in September. Which explains the tans :)

The boys did it up right.

They had a super-fantastic time!

It was a really neat experience for Bobby to be on his own with just daddy and friends. But we did have to promise the girls; next trip to Silverwood includes us all!!

Jillian's First day of PreSchool

Well Aunt Bette and Aunt Mary now you know: the days of my blog don't always match the days of our lives...

Having Mom in South Bend right now is revealing all my secrets; I'm not always timely with my blog and it might not match up day to day with our actual activities.

It's close.

Jillian started preschool this week!

She is so excited and day one went smashingly!
I don't know if she enjoys actually going to school or having stories to share with big brother and sister more; it doesn't matter, it's all good.

This was the best picture I got before I was told to go home. (By Jillian, Mrs. Mello and Mrs. Lamb are much more polite :)

And so the next chapter begins!?

I am using my new found freedom to go back to work with Robb. Sure it's only four hours a week and right now annual reports are our only project but we're excited for things to come!

One of first big snows up here!

The kids were so excited they wolfed down breakfast and were ready for school in record time leaving plenty of opportunity to sled and frolic before Mrs. C arrived!

Notice Jamie's sled?

Yes, it is a satellite dish with the edges hammered down.

Bobby is shoveling the drive. Good luck with that one son.

Another Path

I started an entry summarizing our trip.

I might finish it someday.

But for now, and in the interest of updating my friends and family I'll just go from here.

The trip is finished and we are back in a bricks and sticks house.
Or a little mountain cabin as I like to think of it.

It seriously feels like we're visiting some magical mountain cabin and we've been allowed to stay for a bit. I think it's the vaulted ceilings that do it for me.
Or being surrounded by trees.
Or the magical snowstorm that we're enjoying right now.

Today, for only the second time since we've moved up here we actually have enough snow to blow and shovel!

Still in denial Robb went out without a hat, in jeans.

He called uncle and suited up.

Maybe next time he'll even wear the amazing outdoor pants he has hanging in his closet.
