I want to share a website; Yoga Today it has allowed me to have a dynamic yoga practice at home which, with my mommy schedule, has been the only option I have been interested in.
I have actually been remiss in my practice over the past few weeks and I guess I'm trying to find my way back.
So check it out, all three instructors are amazing in their own way and provide a unique and wonderful practice.
If you want to sign up and use provostrecess as your referral, great, if not, no worries. I'd still highly recommend at least checking out the free weekly class.

So Much Better
We have, and always will, believe that one should flow with the currents of their lives. When you do, life runs smoothly, when you don't everything is a battle and does not feel right.
We were in a rocky escrow, weird things came up, road blocks, emotions on all sides. Sparing the details it officially ended yesterday at the 11th hour and left us feeling beaten up and deflated.
BUT as this was happening, serendipity guided us to our correct path. Again, long story, but our good friend lent an ear for Robb to vent and that afternoon ran into a co-worker and friend who was looking for a house for her parents who had hit a wall of disappointment in their search.
This morning we signed a new contract with people I am excited to introduce to our neighborhood! They are going to take care of this old house probably even better than we have.
So our new departure date is September 7th. Alaska will have to wait until the tail end of our trip. Unfortunately, Mom and Dad's escort of our maiden voyage will be shorter than planned as they have prior, unavoidable obligations in mid September.
The good feelings surrounding this new deal are the perfect send off to our adventure and I am so glad that life works the way it does!!

Oh Huckleberries!
Our escrow has hit a snag, we don't know if it's going to work out or not. (A ridiculously shoddy appraisal, but on a cash deal of yet unknown impact.) The inspection went great and so, while Robb's back was getting worse I panic packed the house. Now we are in a state of waiting. We either need to commit to a storage unit and move this weekend or figure out plan B. (And I can barely move my arms from my packing which believe me still has quite a ways to go.)
The rv is not quite ready for us to inhabit it, at least those of us who require beds and toilets (oh I'll admit; that would be me).
The good news is Robb went to a chiropractor yesterday and is feeling SO much better it's crazy. (No need for 'I told you so' Beth :)
So in our utter state of crazy unknown we watch and learn beauty from the kids;
Jillian showing her picking fingers ready to pick huckleberries.

Bobby learning from the most enthusiastic Grandpa of all time.

Jamie enjoying the fruits of her labor...har har..

Bobby and Jills

Things happen for a reason and we'll ride this wave as it flows.

Automatic Update
My blogging queen sister has shown me how to send updates automatically to email addresses when I update. I have 7 more allotted spots so if you want to receive an email whenever I post let me know and I will add you to the list.
Thanks Beth!

Delayed
I'm referring to the departure date, not myself.
The house is in escrow; one week inspection period and then one more week to close (very quick escrow!)
We're in a daze.
This will delay our departure by a couple of weeks but it will also be much more freeing once we do get on the road.
Alaska may have to wait until next summer but we haven't made any final decisions yet.
There is still so much to do on the rv but we think it will be ready to travel ~ we can do some of the pending projects on the road.
I'm a little anxious about ACTUALLY selling the house. I don't know if it is just my exhaustion, all the good times we've had in this house, the fact that we have some really great new neighbors and friends or the daunting task of moving. I'm sure it is a combination.

One More Thing Checked off the List
I have mixed feelings. On the one hand I was never quite comfortable being a minivan driving mom; my own mini vanity (sorry.) On the other hand it was an incredibly comfortable and reliable car which served us well.
The new owner is our good friend and neighbor so at least we know it will be loved and we can visit it any time we feel the need.

When it Rains it Pours
And in this case it poured.
Robb tweaked his back on Monday, so much so that I was putting his socks on for him. Needless to say that work on the rig was a bit slower than we had planned, but we made some progress, and slowly he started to loosen up and heal.
Then Thursday night macho man pushed a car (Mom and Dad's transmission went out, I won't even go into how bad Dad's day was going) and re-tweaked his back.
Then Friday morning the toilet overflowed, Robb grabbed the tank and tha-twacked his back and the bathroom flooded. We mopped up and left it as he hoped the pipes would drain out and he could roto-root.
I took the kids to the beach with some friends, had a great time until the bike ride home when I started to feel sick, but the time I got home I was sun dazzled and had to lay down as I was sure I was going to be sick and my head was pounding so hard I couldn't see straight.
In my hazy stupor I did hear Robb call for the kids to bring him towels, what I didn't hear until I got up was the s*%$ shower Robb took in the basement as apparently the pipes had not drained out, add a broken roto rooter in the pipe and tracked feces throughout the house and you get a snapshot into his day.
Robb swore that people had had worse days, he knew they had, it was just hard to imagine. He finally settled on the idea that loosing a limb would have been much worse.
But we got cleaned up and made in just in time for a summer party at Glen's where we enjoyed a perfect evening of great food, music (thank you Lex) and friends in the magical garden Glen and Hannah have created. We said good-bye to some friends and neighbors we won't be seeing for a while and shed a few tears with love.
And as Robb and I sat together late that night with the kids asleep in their beds his most poignant memory of the day was how much he appreciated his brother being there with him, dropping his busy schedule and just helping out. You can't really ask for more.
And for once, it's probably best that I have no pictures to share, though the mental pictures are burned in our brains forever (blech!)
