We have, and always will, believe that one should flow with the currents of their lives. When you do, life runs smoothly, when you don't everything is a battle and does not feel right.
We were in a rocky escrow, weird things came up, road blocks, emotions on all sides. Sparing the details it officially ended yesterday at the 11th hour and left us feeling beaten up and deflated.
BUT as this was happening, serendipity guided us to our correct path. Again, long story, but our good friend lent an ear for Robb to vent and that afternoon ran into a co-worker and friend who was looking for a house for her parents who had hit a wall of disappointment in their search.
This morning we signed a new contract with people I am excited to introduce to our neighborhood! They are going to take care of this old house probably even better than we have.
So our new departure date is September 7th. Alaska will have to wait until the tail end of our trip. Unfortunately, Mom and Dad's escort of our maiden voyage will be shorter than planned as they have prior, unavoidable obligations in mid September.
The good feelings surrounding this new deal are the perfect send off to our adventure and I am so glad that life works the way it does!!
