Inside the boat right as you walk in is a cubby which holds an emergency hatch. If the catamaran were to capsize this could be used to escape.
As it is it provides a window to the sea below. This picture is of Bobby under the boat, in the dinghy, taken through the hatch.
There was a nurse shark in the water yesterday but it didn't oblige our hopes that it would hang out under our window.
The giant sea stars have also avoided hanging out directly under the boat but seeing them from the dock is cool enough for us.
Waiting now to see who will get to us first; the boys with golf carts to explore the island, or the storm that is blowing in.
